After ten days of relentless searching: the body of 17-year-old Avraham Yeshayahu Spiegel was located. Following complex recovery efforts, the deceased was released for burial.

As previously reported, during the drowning incident at Tsanz Beach, two brothers were swept away by the sea.

The older brother, Yissachar Dov Spiegel, aged 21, was pulled from the water in critical condition and rushed to Laniado Hospital, where he fought for his life for several days. Tragically, he passed away on Wednesday.

His younger brother, Avraham Yeshayahu, aged 17, was declared missing, and extensive search operations were launched to locate him.

The search mission, which continued nonstop since the incident, involved large-scale efforts by ZAKA alongside the Israel Police, the Marine Police, and the elite Lehava Unit.

Throughout the operation, a wide range of resources were deployed, including diving units, jeep teams, drones, jet skis, police helicopters, and additional technological equipment, with searches carried out both at sea and along the shoreline according to sea conditions and currents.

Chaim Weingarten, Deputy Director of Operations at ZAKA, said:
โ€œThis was a complex operation that lasted many long days, and even after the body was located, we continued working with determination to complete the identification and release process. It is a painful moment, but it also brings a sense of closure for the family after days of uncertainty.โ€

Eliezer Lipschitz, Head of ZAKA Netanya, said:
โ€œFor ten days we have been on the ground, day and night, ื™ื—ื“ with volunteers from across the country, never leaving the search for a moment. Today, the body was located in the depths of the sea. We did everything possible to bring an answer to the family.โ€
