Following a direct hit last night on a residential building in the Haifa area, after a full night and morning of searching through the rubble and intensive operations, four people were found without signs of life. Contrary to earlier reports, the missing individuals were not recovered overnight but were located only in the final moments of the search.

ZAKA Northern District volunteers were dispatched immediately upon receiving the reports. They assisted the Home Front Command and other emergency teams in searching and locating victims among the debris.

This was an especially challenging scene, with extensive destruction. The building had collapsed, requiring emergency teams to operate very carefully among concrete, metal, and glass, using specialized equipment.

Dudi Rosenberg, Deputy Operations Commander of ZAKA Northern District, reported from the scene:

“This was an extremely difficult scene following a direct hit on a residential building. Upon receiving the report, we were dispatched to the site and assisted the forces in searching through the rubble for the missing. Sadly, during the operation, four people were found deceased. We are now working together with all teams to manage this complex site and to honor the deceased with respect.”
