Health Minister Uriel Bosso hosted ZAKA volunteer Mrs. Valerie Dikstein today at his office in Jerusalem, presenting her with a certificate of appreciation for her work in the Gaza envelope following the October 7th terror attack.
During the meeting, Minister Bosso heard from Mrs. Dikstein and her husband Nachman, also a ZAKA volunteer, their inspiring story. After the attack in October, they immediately traveled from their home in Beit Shemesh to the South to take part in the organization’s activities in the Gaza envelope and the disaster area.
Valerie Dikstein shared with Minister Bosso how she cared for hundreds of murder victims, describing the horrific sights she witnessed following the brutal attack by Hamas terrorists on children, women, and the elderly. She spoke of the intense emotions she felt and the difficult coping process during those days.
Health Minister Bosso praised the Dikstein couple and presented Valerie with a certificate of appreciation: “Today, I met Mrs. Valerie Dikstein, an extraordinary woman who represents the strength of the Jewish spirit. Valerie, a ZAKA volunteer, works with extraordinary dedication and courage, and thanks to her, the supreme value of ‘true kindness’ is put into action. Her unique contribution in the Gaza envelope is an inspiration to all of us. I am grateful for the opportunity to honor and appreciate her dedication, as well as the work of all those involved in this holy mission, who devote their lives to human dignity and upholding the values of life and compassion.”
