Last night (Sunday), a moving and festive event was held in central Israel to mark the launch of ten new “Minilance” vehicles — specially designed for the sacred life-saving and recovery work carried out by ZAKA volunteers.
These new vehicles were custom-built to meet ZAKA’s unique operational needs, serving as rapid-response units to ensure faster and more efficient mobility in the field. The vehicles are being immediately deployed nationwide, strengthening ZAKA’s operational readiness and supporting volunteers across Israel.
Among the honored guests were Speaker of the Knesset MK Amir Ohana, Deputy Chief Rabbi of the Israel Police Snr. Chief Supt. Rabbi Boaz Giladi, ZAKA’s leadership, commanders, operational officers, and team leaders from all regions of the country.
ZAKA CEO Dubi Weissenstern said:
“Today we’ve been blessed to expand our fleet of emergency vehicles available to ZAKA volunteers. These ten new ‘Minilance’ units are a major boost to our rapid response capabilities, allowing us to continue our sacred mission of honoring the dead with professionalism and dedication to the people of Israel.”
Speaker of the Knesset MK Amir Ohana added:
“ZAKA is a national treasure of the State of Israel. Your volunteers act with exceptional dedication and sensitivity. The investment in new vehicles like these Minilances, now being deployed across the country, strengthens your ability to respond quickly and serve the public.”
