During a deadly wave of rocket fire across multiple regions in Israel, ZAKA emergency teams were deployed nationwide, responding immediately to scenes of devastation and carrying out their sacred mission of honoring the dead in accordance with Jewish law.
Three civilians tragically lost their lives in direct strikes. ZAKA volunteers, already on high alert, arrived swiftly at the scenes to assist in recovery efforts alongside IDF, police, and emergency services – operating with professionalism, sensitivity, and a profound sense of duty.
Chaim Weingarten, ZAKA’s Chief Operations Officer, noted:
“Our teams were deployed across the country according to national emergency protocols and rabbinical guidance. Volunteers were dispatched to several fatal scenes and worked tirelessly to uphold the dignity of the deceased in full accordance with halachic standards.”
ZAKA Spokesman Moti Bukchin added:
“We delivered a clear message to the public: follow the Home Front Command’s guidelines – they save lives.
ZAKA’s emergency hotline 1220 remains active 24/7.
We salute the IDF and all security forces who stood strong in defense of our people, and we continue to pray for quieter days.”
ZAKA remains committed to standing at the frontlines – responding with speed, compassion, and unwavering resolve in Israel’s most difficult moments.
