The Sapir Jet Ski Unit, created three years after ZAKA’s Divers Unit, adds an essential dimension to ZAKA’s maritime rescue capabilities. Operated by volunteers who have undergone intensive specialist training, these privately owned jet skis rapidly transport equipment to search locations, significantly enhancing the efficiency and scope of water-based search and rescue operations.

Origins and Mission

This unit is the brainchild of computer engineer and ZAKA Divers Unit Commander, Ilan Karni, who named it in memory of his late daughter, Sapir. Working seamlessly alongside other ZAKA teams, these volunteers provide swift, lifesaving support—reflecting ZAKA’s unwavering commitment to the sanctity of life, volunteerism, and professional excellence in every emergency response.

Powered by Your Generosity

All ZAKA units, including the Sapir Jet Ski Unit, are sustained by the generosity of donors worldwide. Every piece of equipment, every training session, and every rescue mission is made possible by caring individuals who believe in this vital cause. By contributing, you help the Jet Ski Unit continue speeding toward those in urgent need—wherever and whenever they may be found.
