A Man with the Heart of “Gold”

Tragedy has struck Yehuda Meshi-Zahav (“gold” in Hebrew), the founder of ZAKA, as he lost both parents to COVID within days, just weeks after his brother died.

Since its inception, ZAKA has had a heavy focus on saving lives – but perhaps even more interesting is their commitment to caring for the deceased. In Judaism, this is known as the purest form of giving, since the recipient can never “return the favor”.  This core that represents ZAKA’s ideals has permeated everything they do – making them the world leader in Pure Giving, led by their fearless director Yehuda Meshi-Zahav.

In this hard time for the ZAKA director, we call upon the entire ZAKA community, and to all of the givers of the world to commit to one act of kindness in memory of the late family members of the ZAKA director
